Using your site admin dashboard
Your site admin dashboard is were you will control everything about your site. It’s the back end that no one else can see but you. You’ll need to log in to make changes using your username and password that you created when you signed up.
Looking at your admin dashboard for the first time may be a bit overwhelming. Don’t worry though, once you understand where everything is it will become quite easy to navigate.
Your admin dashboard
Your admin dashboard consists of your main admin navigation on the left and some information about your site on the right including your Google Analytics data (once you’ve set that up).
Your main navigation menu
Your main admin navigation menu is on the left side of your dashboard. Hovering over a menu item displays all of the sub-menu options for that item. This menu has links to settings for almost every aspect of your site. There are some menu items that you will rarely ever need to use – most in the advanced settings area.
You can return to the home dashboard area of your site from any page within your admin panel by clicking on the Dashboard menu item at the top of your navigation menu.
Feel free to familiarize yourself with the admin area. Be careful though, this area holds settings to important parts of your site and it is possible to do irreparable damage to your site. Click through the various menu items to get an idea of where different settings are found. Once you have a good feel for the admin area, it will help you add or change parts of your site with ease.
Note: You don’t need to be an expert with the admin area of your website. We’ve designed this so most of the settings are already in place and only need minor tweaking to adjust for your needs.
